101 Things To Do in SE Seattle: #13 Kubota Garden Spring Sale

May 6, 2011

Just in time for Mother’s Day, Kubota Garden’s Plant Sale is this Saturday from 9-1.  What once was generally considered one of SE Seattle’s best kept secrets is now becoming a huge event with people coming from all over Western Washington.  So, if you are serious about grabbing one of those Japanese Maples for a bargain basement price you best get there early.  And we mean early.  People start lining up an hour to 30 minutes before opening.  It’s also a good idea to bring a partner, things can get pretty hectic once inside (we speak from experience).  Someone who’s not afraid to throw elbows would be a good choice.
