101 Things To Do in SE Seattle: #2 Try a new ethnic cuisine
As is commonly known, SE Seattle is the most diverse neighborhood in the city/state/region (maybe even the country, according to some). With all the population diversity comes culinary diversity. This last spring the MLK Business Association sponsored an event called Plate of Nations, where people had the chance to try new restaurants while also scoring a great deal. Plate of Nations is over, but the restaurants are still there! Afraid to admit you’ve never had Ethiopian? Always wondered what the Vietnamese sandwich craze is all about? Crave the taste of true Mexican food? All of this (and more!) is available on a stretch of Martin Luther King Jr. Way in the Rainier Valley.
